Katherine vs. Catherine

Could you help with the spelling? All I really know is I don’t want Cathryn or Kathryn!!!! But I can not figure out C or K... Please give some advice :)

It depends on what kind of a vibe you want to project.

Catherine is French and (to me) feels very soft and romantic, like Catherine Deneuve. Katharine is English and (to me) feels very strong and confident, like Katharine Hepburn. They are both wonderful. It’s up to you.

Katherine is the only spelling I dislike. It looks like it can’t make up it’s mind if it’s French or English. I realize this spelling has become very popular. Old dog, new trick.

To me K is new, C is old. Depends on what you’re going for.
