Way too masculine. I’d say just name her Ellie, or Eleanor, or Eliora, or Elma, or Elsa, or Elodie/Elodia, or Elizabeth, or Elaine/Elaina, or Electra, or Ellen/Elena, or Elspeth, etc., etc., etc.,...

Basically, you have a lot of other options. xD

Nah. Not too masculine. Elliot Reid on the show Scrubs is a female, and I know an Elliot (female) who goes by Ellie. She’s in college now.

MUCH too boyish. I don’t think it’s an attractive name even for a boy, but it’s even worse on a girl in my opinion.

If you like that name, spell it Elliette, but I’m dead against trying to turn boy’s names into girl’s names, so I personally don’t encourage it.

The character Elliot Reid on Scrubs is named Elliot because her father wanted her to be a boy...

I’d always thought of it as a boys’ name, but I now know a little girl named that. Her name is spelled Elliotte to make it more feminine. Ellie is a cute nickname, but the other posters are right as far as there being a lot of other options to get to that nickname (Ellen, Eleanor, Eliana, among others).
