Movie aside Juno is by far the best choice for a girl. Juno is a very strong and powerful goddess. Bellamy despite the feminine sound is actually very masculine. If you want the nn Bella there are plenty of girl names to choose from. Sadly Briar sounds masculine and is the name of an ice cream company. I hope I haven’t bren to harsh, I’m just giving an honest opinion that I hope you’ll take into consideration. Congratulations on your little girl and good luck!

Bellamy is my maiden name so I don’t think it is grotesque and I don’t see how it is masculine. This is common practice in the South so Bellamy will fit right in here.
Briar is meaningful to us too, but thanks for your opinions.

In order of preference:
(1) Juno -- Love, love it. Spunky and classic combined in one beautiful sound. Feminine names ending in an "o" sound are so intriguing to me.
(2) Briar -- Fetching, and it makes me think of "Briar Rose" which is sweet. Feminine names ending in an "r" feel very energetic to me.
(3) Bellamy -- Very pretty and meaningful, given it’s Mom’s maiden name. But I prefer family surnames as middle names*. Plus, I grew up watching the "Upstairs Downstairs" series so the Bellamys are rich, London society folk in my mind. I can’t get used to it on a girl / woman. Juno Bellamy?
Good luck! :0)
*This makes me a total hypocrite because Wren is a family surname for me and I love it as a first name.

When I hear Juno, I think of either the movie or the place, so not my favorite. I really just don’t like Bellamy. But Briar is okay, it reminds me of Briar Rose, like from Sleeping Beauty.
