Cara Delaney. Hayden and Leslie are boy names, IMO. Plus, when I was younger, Leslie’s were called [removed] s.

I think Hayden Delaney is too much - A boy name and then a surname that certainly could be a boy name. Plus, the D’s are very strong in both.

Hayden is gorgeouls and so elegant-sounding. It’s really fresh and uptodate. I adore this name. I hate Delaney though. It’s so trendy and made-up. It sounds too awkward. I’d go with Hayden Lane. Cara is horrid, sorry!!! It’s so extremely outdated and grandma-ish. NOT attractive at all. Leslie doesn’t suit it. Hayden is so fun and pretty! I def. say go for it! gl :]

Well if you dont like Delaney, i would like to use a middle name that starts with a "d".

Uh, it was a boy name first?
The unisex name trend is sexist. It’s from boys to girls, not the other way around.
Just because you hate it for a boy doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist for one.
Delaney isn’t made-up. I’m sure the people with that surname really appreciate it. It’s the same as naming your son Nelson, Mason, Bennett, Asher, etc. They’re all surnames. How about Mackenzie, Madison, McKenna -- all surnames -- also mostly for boys.
Cara is beautiful. It’s not outdated at all. It’s about as outdated as Elisabeth or Madeleine.

Cara Delaney is nice. Go with that.

My source has Hayden ONLY has a boys name. It usually lists "...the boy and girl’s name ..." but Haden, Hayden, Hadden are all boy. Seems right, though. It isn’t attractive on a girl (as are NO boy names). I completely agree about Cara Delaney. It’s nice and girl-y, though Delaney is a surname.

Cara Mae

and i think that any name can go with either sex i mean someone named their kid after a fruit so...

it will probably grow on people once they hear it and say it over and over it may become like the names morgan and jordan which are probably the most common unisex names

Hayden Delaney sounds funny. Hayden Leslie and Cara Delaney would be better.

Fruits are fruits. Not names for children. I mean, obviously celebs do things for attention. Imagine if she were a normal child and was named Apple. Imagine the ridicule and teasing from other children. Now, give your child a known boys name and see what happens. It’s too bad Haden Christiansen isn’t too popular. Maybe then people would use the name for a boy.

Girls have variants of boy names for a reason.

Or the same name but spelled differently to denote that it’s the feminine form.

Reagan - girl Regan - boy
Frances - girl Francis - boy

Or being a feminine form of a masculine name such as:

Samantha / Samuel
Henriette / Henry
Olivia / Oliver
Patricia / Patrick
Victoria / Victor
Alexandra / Alexander
Gabrielle / Gabriel
Bernadette / Bernard

"I hate Delaney though. It’s so trendy and made-up. It sounds too awkward. I’d go with Hayden Lane. Cara is horrid, sorry!!! it’s so extremely outdated and grandma-ish. NOT attractive at all." Well as Cara Delaney is my name I’d just like to say that it’s NOT outdated or made up and there’s no need to be so personal,
go with cara or leslie.
