I think that it’s a very lovely name if you’re having a girly girl. But you don’t know what you’ll get and I think that a tomboy would get very annoyed with the lack of nicknames. I was annoyed with my name Katie,so I called myself Kane.

Just choose a name you both love,and if you don’t love this,find a one you do.

I think it’s ok. Never been one of my favorites, but don’t dislike it. If you both like it, you should choose it. I’ve seen a few polls on here recently either asking opinions on the name or have decided on it & asking for mn ideas.
I wouldn’t worry to much about "girly" nns, I had a friend named Lacey and she was a tomboy, but her name never bothered her.

Maybe use it as a middle name as a compromise?

Felicity is a beautiful name!
I don’t find it dated at all.Thankfully it was never one of those overly trendy names so I don’t associate it with any particular decade which is what usually dates a name.
