Princeton Ivy vs. Ivy Princeton

My boyfriend and I met in Princeton, so the name is special to me. My boyfriend love the name Ivy and wants to have it in her name... But.. Princeton is an Ivy League school..... :’) haha. Is that name to pretentious? thanks!

I would pick one or the other, not both. Princeton, if chosen, would work best as a middle name. Ivy on the other hand would be lovely as a first name.

Yes, it sounds pretentious. I wouldn’t use Princeton at all personally. Ivy is nice though.
