it depends if you want to say it sa-ra or s-air-rah, how does your friend say hers? i think if you’re naming after someone you’re gonna be in a lot of contact with then use a different spelling to distinguish between the two but if you’re naming after say a great-grandma who isn’t around anymore it doesn’t matter if you use the same spelling because they’re not gonna get mixed up with anyone, it does depend on how you’re going to pronounce it but i say go with Sarah

Everyone spells Sarah with the H. So go for it!! If you name her Sara, and you secretly wanted to name her Sarah, you’ll be regreting it for the rest of your life. Sarah looks complete and I really like it. I’m even considering naming my daughter that!! If you need middle names, why not do something that can have an H but doesn’t after your friend??
