I love all three. Ilaria flows the easiest with your difficult surname.
Is Maudlin a family surname? If not, have you looked up the meaning? I did. "self-pityingly or tearfully sentimental, often through drunkenness." What about Maud / Maude instead? It’s a form of Matilda, meaning "strength in battle." And since Ilaria is a variant of Hilary / Hilaria, meaning "happy," you would have one strong, happy little warrior to launch into the world. Just a thought. Good luck! :0)

Maudlin is a variant of Magdalene, and the adjective came from the name. We love the name too much to give it up!

OK. I get it now. Medieval (I assume) variants are super cool in their own way. And since it’s a middle name it isn’t that big of a deal.
But oh, what a shame. Why did people turn it into an adjective like that? No one checks with me first . . . . :0)
