Girl vs. Boy
We love the name Jordan for our baby, but since it is unisex we have a few reservations. We are just looking to know what most people think about which gender the name Jordan would be. We are looking to use the name Jordan for our son due in September. -E&M

I said girl only because it’s my sisters name so that’s what I think of first however most all other Jordans I know are boys and I think most people think of it as a boys name

It works completely fine on both genders, but I prefer it a little more on a boy. One of my close female friends is named Jordan, and it suits her perfectly. However, my husband’s younger brother is also named Jordan, and it suits him perfectly too. So it totally works for a boy. Just make sure not to have a unisex name like Riley or Alex for the middle name. What about Jordan Everett?

It’s one of the few unisex names that I think works well for both. I’ve always preferred it for a boy, though.
