Cordelia vs. Cecelia

We love both names equally but think they are too similar to use one now and save another for a possible future sister. So which do you think would be best for a girl born in 2015? If you could also comment why and any middle names that go, that would be fantastic! Xo

While I like both, I would definitely pick Cordelia. Cecelia/Cecilia are ranked #206 and #572 in the US, making the name far more popular than Cordelia (ranked #993).

And while I don’t typically look at meanings, in this case jewel of the sea (Cordelia) totally beats blind (Cecelia)

Cordelia is so pretty and feminine, underused but easily recognized. It’s totally a winner! I love the nicknames Cora, Delia and Lia.

I LOVE the name Cecelia! Its so cute. Cordelia sounds like an old lady to me, sorry its just not my style. Cecelia’s adorable though

Cordelia has always been a favorite of mine but I don’t dislike Cecelia either.
