Baby Name Poll Results

Hi, We’re looking for an unusual name for our daughter. What we’re going for is something that sounds like it could be a real name, but isn’t necessarily: no real words, no misspellings, just something different. We do, however, want people to understand and be able to say and spell it, so we’re looking for opinions. I’m going to post a list and include the pronunciations. Please let us know your top 2 and bottom 2 and why. Thanks a bunch!

I like Yana and Mira
I dislike Karel (sounds too much like the boy name Karl) and Alliann (looks too confusing).
The better spellings: Eiley, Maira, Kiela, Keely. Yuli and Yulie both look good.

FAVORITES: Mariel (sounds like an unusual spin on Mary, which is one of my favorite names) and Juna ( I love the name June, and this puts a fun spin on it)
LEAST FAVORITES: Haidee (reminds me of Hades, Greek god of the underworld) and Alliann (too many a’s)

top: Keely and Eiley (Eyley is a nice spelling, too.)
Bottom: Haidee (means H.e.l.l) and Myrah
Bottom: Haidee (means H.e.l.l) and Myrah
Top: Mira and Keeley (like this correct spelling best) because they’re real names
Bottom: Kiri because it won’t age well/looks like a nickname for Kira, and Karel because it looks like boys’ name Carl or a ridiculous spelling of Carol

Kiri (cute but sounds a bit weeaboo-ish)
Haidee (I like it, but yes, Hades. On the positive side, he did get the entire underworld to himself)
Tayla (sounds like a misspelling of Taylor)
Eilie/Eiley (EYE-lee) (cute but don’t like the spelling)
Yana (prefer Jaana)
Maira/Maera (Maira for the pronunciation)
Karel (No.)
Yuli/Yulie (Yulia is a Slavic name, so yes, but only as ie or ia)
Mariel (cute)
Mira (cute)
Juna (prefer Juno, but okay I guess)
Alliann (alle alle auch sind frei. Google it.)
Keela/Kiela (Kia like the car.)
Keely/Kiely (Keely or Keeley is the best spelling)
Have you considered these? They’re similar to some of yours:
Islay (EYE-la)
Isley (EYE-lee)
Moira (MOY-ra)
Maren/Marin (Erin with an M or MARR-ren)
