I seem to remember a book with a crazy wild grandmother referred to as "Mad Maxine" by her newly fostered granddaughter. This combo just makes me think of that. I don’t like it, but if you do use it, I think the spelling Madeline Maxine looks nicer. The Y looks misplaced.

I think it’s fine. I went to a Catholic school for high school and one of the teachers was a nun name Mary Margaret. We called her Sr. M&M. M&M could be a great nickname for you child.

I voted yes, it’s a fine name. If the question was "Is it too much?" change my vote to the no column.

I worried about this with the name River Robert for our son. Then my hubby pointed out that our attorney’s name is S. S. Lastname and it works well for him. So then I relaxed and it hasn’t been a problem of any sort for him.
