Drew Barrymore wears her name with style. It’s a family surname for her. So unless it is also a family name for you I see Drew more as a past tense of the verb "to draw." Not my favorite name.

I do, however, love Dru as a nickname for Drusilla (fem. of Drusus). Names from ancient Rome are so cool. I don’t suppose Drusilla Hazel, nn Dru, would interest you? Yeah. I thought so. It’s not most people’s cup of tea. For what it’s worth Drew Leonie gmv. Good luck! :0)

Drew is more of a nickname for Andrew. Yes, there’s the actress as the first poster mentioned, but it’s really more of a boy’s name. Drusilla is nice, though.

Drew isn’t changing at all. People really need to get over the fact that people are going to give their child unisex names whether they like it or not. You’re not going to like everybody’s name. We love Drew and are therefore using it. And Drusilla is a rudiculous name, she’d get far more teased with a name as horrendous as that! If you like Drusilla then good for you, use it on your child. This is the name WE love for OUR child and this is the name we’re going with. Get over it.

Lol we didn’t ask for any opinions. We created a poll to decide our daughter’s middle name. Not to sound rude but frankly we couldn’t give a toss whether strangers on the Internet like our kids’ names or not.

just by putting a poll up is a tacit invitation for opinions, oh, sorry, people who think ’Drew’ is unisex don’t understand the word tacit...get over yourself and your silly boy-name-on girl self justifications, you aren’t impressing us
