Lisette/Elizabeth vs. ?

I love the name Lisette. It’s the French variation of Elizabeth. I mentioned the name to family and they say it will be too hard to pronounce and that it will be too weird in the U.S. and that Lisette isn’t a pretty name and that I should go with Elizabeth. My heart is set on Lisette but I don’t want people to think my name choice for my daughter is weird and not pretty (though the name is very beautiful to me). Elizabeth is just a bit too common for me as I know so many girls with it as a first and middle name.

I think it’s beautiful! But if your family aren’t too keen You could use Lisette as the child’s middle name?
Eg

Maisie Lisette
Cara Lisette
Theodora Lisette

Use Lisette! Otherwise you will regret not using the name you love.
