Let Daughter Change Name to Gigi vs. Yes vs. No

Hi all. My husband and I have been together 9 years and married 6.Prior to our marriage I had two children Emma Giovana (Gigi) 12 and Chase Christopher 11. My husband has been in my children’s life all their life since they were 2 and 1 and is in the process of adopting them and giving them his last name. My daughter will be turning 13 around the same time as the name change and asked if she could legally change her name to Gigi as a bday gift. She does not like Emma and has never been called Emma. She goes by Gigi everywhere she goes and some people do not even know her name is Emma. Until she was 6 she refused to even acknowledge her name was Emma. She claims that it is way to common, there are way to many everywhere she goes and in her 8 years of schooling she is always one of 2 or 3 of them. My husband also has a niece name Emma and a recent coworker turned friend who’s daughter is close to my daughter name is Emma. We tried to compromise with her and say how about Giovanna but she does not ever use that name. I never really liked it but let her dad give it to her (Emma as well which I did like) and she has not been in communication with him in 10 years (think that has a lot to do with it). Gigi for sure fits her personality and is something I know she will keep. I know if we do not do it now she will just do it in the long run. What do you guys think? I can not say that oh it won’t fit her well when she is older because she will do it anyways (my mom has already promised to pay for it when she is 18). Besides Gigi and Chase we have 14 year old Madison who is my step-daughter, Together: Leo Alexander 7, Parker Marie 4 and are expecting another baby girl in January.

Help! I love the name Guinevere, but I can't think of a really good brother and sister name for her. Since Guinevere is so empowering, I want the next names to be powerful as well. Thanks, Genie!
Baby Name Genie:
You seek the Holy Grail of names. Let me help you in your quest. The brother of fair Guinevere will fight on foot with swords aplenty, but on his horse he'll surely lance a lot. Name him Edward for a regal name. A sister could be dubbed Katherine if greatness is what you desire.
