Grace Adaline? vs. Thoughts

My husband and I absolutely love the name Grace. We think it’s a beautiful, simple classic. We have gotten recent feedback saying its way too common and boring, so now we are looking for some more opinions before we set her name in stone. Since her name is a little more common, we would like to give her a unique middle name. So far we like Adaline, Cordelia and Tallulah. She will be joining siblings Pax & Isla (6) Thank you.

Grace is common and boring as a middle name, as a first name, it’s a breath of fresh air! It’s so beautiful among the popular unisex names that are trendy as of late. Grace Adaline is simply stunning!

Grace is lovely, especially as a first name. Grace Cordelia would be a great way give it a bit of spice. Though all three of the middle names you’ve listed would be great.

According to the social security site, the name was just outside the top 20 at #21 in 2014 with 7,554 girls given the name Grace. The lowest on the list the name has been since 2000 is #22 in 2013. That being said, I’ve only ever met two girls named Grace in my lifetime. I know a Gracie as well, but her full, given name is Gracie(which ranked at #162 in 2014) and not Grace. I think Grace is a beautiful first name and the fact that it has pretty much stayed at where it is on the name list shows how timeless and versatile it is. It’s pretty universal as well. I think that Grace Adaline is a very beautiful name.

I think Grace with a more unique middle name is the way to go. Though you could also name her Graciela and call her Grace for short.
