Aly vs. Too close to vs. Abbey?
I made a poll earlier but I wanted to get more opinions. Her full name with be either Alexandra or Alessandra (I keep going back and forth- which do you prefer?). She’s joining big sisters Abigail (Abbey) and Anna. Do you think Aly is too close to Abbey?

Alessandra is the most beautiful name in the world, Alessia is commonly a short form of it :)

I think Alexandra is lovely. Abbey and Aly are pretty close. If you have a few different nicknames for them, then it should be ok. I think, though, if you’re going to always be calling them Aly and Abbey then it’s way too close. We have a Michael and Mara in the family and it always gets confused.

I love Alessandra but i might be biased because its my sisters name, her full name is Alessandra Lucille but goes by Alice. and I do think Aly is too close to Abbey. Try practicing yelling their names and you might see how its a problem. Maybe use Alex, Andi, Alexa, Alessia, Alissa?.

Alexandra is a beautiful,classic name.
I have always loved it!
Unfortunately I do think the nicknames are too close though.
I see you have an A theme going but as long as her full name starts with A couldn’t her nickname be different? If so Lexi (or Lexie)makes a great nickname I think and that would be an easy way to solve the problem.
