Sloane and Arden’s vs. brother and sister

My husband and I are expecting our third and fourth children (girl/boy twins)! Our son’s name is down to five names, but we’re totally lost for our daughrer’s name. Many people do not tend to like our naming style for girls, which is usually boyish/unisex. Our older daughters are Sloane Margery (6) and Arden Caroline (3). We have a few names that we like, but don’t love, which will be in comments with our five boy names. Girl name suggestions would be very much appreciated and please pick your favorite two boy names. Thank you. Brienne, Reed, Sloane and Arden

Our boy names:
Trace
Steele
Easton
Brooks
Silas (not sure about this one, but we really like it)

Girl names we like:
Merritt (think it’s a little too masculine, but Reed loves it)
Beckett (same as Merritt, but love the idea of calling her Beck)
Darby (too out there?)

Opinions on all names welcome, but desperate need of girl names. Thanks! Brienne

Eden
Grier
Hayes
Lark
Maeve
Margot
Quinn
Spencer
Sullivan ("Sully")

Windsor

Do you like any of these? I love the androgynous theme with the girls name... I have a unisex name and a very feminine princessy middle name, and I’m very happy with that combo! :) Good luck!

I like Easton and Silas. Maybe Elias? One of my daughters is named Clarke Vanessa, its a boys name but it isn’t very popular and she loves her name.

Thank you both! Briar, Eden, Sutton (rather not use another S name though), Rowan, Parker and Hollis are cute. Clarke is adorable. -Brienne

-I know a very feminine girl named Merritt .... I like it!
-I prefer Beckett just because I like the nickname "Beck" or "Becks" (my best friend’s last name is Tembeck, so everyone calls her Becks for short)
-Darby is super duper cute! I could see B/G twins "Darby and Dax/ Darby and Dexter"

Love Easton and Brooks. Very cool!

We’re not necessarily looking for boy names, but Elliot Sawyer is cute (although middle name will be a family name). Harlow and Hadley are cute for our daughter. Middle name possibilities include Pearl, Lydia, Claire/Clara or Eleanor for our daughter, & Samuel, Boone, Henry or Harrison. -Brienne

I’m a marketing and brand professional, and I always think about baby names in terms of what lifestyle you have...

To me, the names Sloane and Arden suggest chic, sleek, modern girls who are sassy and cute with a hint of elegance but lack of pretension. While they are strong names, they are not boys names: they are still most commonly used as girl’s names.

Bearing that in mind, I would suggest the following names for another girl:

Blythe
Celeste
Gwenyth
Iris
Ivy
Jade
Margeaux
Neve
Ramona
Reese
Sage

If, however, you are interested in going more cutesy-unisex ("Darby"), I’d suggest:

Kirby
Marley
Murphy
Parker
Piper
Posey

Sleek TomBoy Names:
Daveney
Delancey
Delaney
Dylan

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Thank you! Reese, Sage, Marley, and Parker are cute. I do prefer something that will age well and not cause her too much hassle. That’s why I am worried about the three names we like. Merritt and Beckett seem too masculine, while Darby seems too out there. Arden and Sloane just seemed to be a mix of what we wanted; strong, will age well and not very girly. Thank you! -Brienne
