Thoughts vs. on vs. Esme?

What do you think of the name Esme for a girl and why? I posted a similar poll yesterday and got some brief answers, but I would really like to know what makes it beautiful to you or why you hate the name. I will clarify, though I don’t feel like I should have to because the name is much older than the series, but we are not Twilight fans. We like that it is uncommon, but not unheard of. Only 414 girls were given the name last year. Thoughts?

I’ve always like it and thought it really pretty, without the more childish sound of Emmy/Emme or similar

I guess you’re only issue will be a) people who assume its after the Twilight character, and b) telling people whether its es-may or es-mee

I don’t like it. It sounds kind of buzzy, perhaps because of the s followed by m. Also, I have heard this name pronounced as EZ-may and as EZ-mee, so there would be that confusion.
