mar-a, that’s how i would pronounce it although i don’t know for certain as i’ve never met anyone with this name, i think the prn mare-uh sounds quite ugly tbh sorry

It can be correctly pronounced either way. One means bitter and the other means wished for child. My sister was considering this name before she knew the sex. I love it both ways.

if you wanted maar-rah i suggest spelling it Marra or Maura or differently than mara
