As far as popularity goes, Jane is actually used more often,with it being ranked at #288 in 2015, while Margot was ranked at #592. That being said, neither name is particularly popular, so I don’t think you’d have to be worried about their being too many Janes or Margots in her classes.
As far as which name I prefer..that’s really hard! I feel like Margot is great because it sounds so spunky, but Jane just grabs your attention. It’s a very strong name. Sorry if this doesn’t help at all because I can’t pick a favorite, but I don’t think you can go wrong with either! Good luck :)
