Mackenzie Blaine vs. Mckenzie Blaine
Mackenzie or Mckenzie? We like Mackenzie because the nickname Mac is visible. Twin brother will be Brooklyn Elijah. Please no comments on any of our sons names, they aren’t changing. Madison and Avery haven’t had any problems with their names or sharing them with girls. Thank you -Jane, Rhett, Madison, Avery, Brooklyn, and Mackenzie/Mckenzie

Mackenzie looks more complete than Mc. I love your sons’ names!

Why intentionally give your sons popular girl names? Brooklyn is so trendy right now. I doubt your sons have had no problem. I know they will in middle and high school especially. You’re doing a huge disservice to them.

Mackenzie, Madison, and Avery are all legitimate unisex names. Brooklyn is very much a girl’s name...at least in today’s society. So I like the spelling Mackenzie, but I would seriously reconsider Brooklyn.

Unisex is determined by Usage.
None of these are close to unisex except Avery MAYBE.. But its #13 for girls... Way too common on the opposite gender.

1) Brooklyn is a city name, it can be used on either gender.
2) Avery, Mackenzie, and Madison are all original boy names. Even if placed on girls, they are still boy names.
3) They said they didn’t want comments about their sons names.

I agree. Unisex is judged on usage. Even if originally was a males name, now, according to usage, it’s a girls name.

They are all unisex not girls names, why are people so sexist on here? So many girls getting boy names on here why don’t they get this response also?
Mackenzie means son of Kenneth clearly not a girl name, Madison means son of Maude and Avery is French for Alfred none are feminine.
I like Mackenzie better personally.
