i think it is a beautiful name...but most people only know it from Harry Potter, so if yo ugo withthat name, get used to that comment.

As for middle names, something short...

It isn’t like Harry Potter is akin to the satanic bible or anything, I wouldn’t worry about it. The books are wonderful and the classics of our time, in my opinion. Most people know the name from it but at least it isn’t a negative association. I like the name and would use it. GL!!

I am a huge HP fan, but I do love the name. My first thought would be the character, but I agree with Em, it’s not like there are any negative associations with the name, unless you count the character being a bit of a know-it-all. However, if you are really worried about it, it would make a great middle name or perhaps you could derive a nickname from it, like Maya?
