Rosalie Carolyn vs. Ruby Carolyn

Hello! My husband and I are expecting our firstborn, a little girl. We chose her middle name as soon as we found out she was a she! Carolyn is after his late grandmother. But now, we each have our hearts set on two different names. He likes Rosalie, but I fell in love with Ruby. Help!! Thanks! - Laura

Personally, I voted for Rosalie...but if you both already have your hearts set on two different names, then one of you is going to end up disappointed when your name isn’t chosen. I feel like the only thing to do is to start over until you find a shortlist of names that you BOTH love and can both set your heart on. It shouldn’t be only one parent loving the name.
