My maiden name is Martineau. I’m going to be a single parent. I am due next month. I have three name that I am deciding between. One being Mara. Do you think Mara Martineau sounds okay. I would probably pronounce Mare-uh. Not sure though. Thanks for any input. I’m trying to narrow down to two names, then finally one name.

I think I would pronounce it Mar-ah with that spelling and I don’t really like that pronunciation with your surname. Mare-uh and your surname is pretty. I guess it depends if the initials M M and the sounds Ma Ma bother u or not.

no sorry, either way i don’t think it flows well with the last name, what other names are you thinking of?
