Ren vs. Yes vs. No
I won’t be finding out the sex and I love Ren for both a girl and a boy. I just wanted to confirm that Ren is indeed handsome for a guy and pretty for a gal. I’m not the only one right? Please don’t suggest to spell it Wren for a girl, she’s not a little bird lol if it’s a girl, her full name will be Caterina Seren, and if it’s a boy, his full name will be Lawrence Lake or Leonardo Lake. The nickname is Ren for all full names. Are the names keepers? Is Ren a keeper?

I think it’s fine. I don’t think Ren works as a nickname for Leonardo though.

I don’t like Ren as a nickname for a boy or a full name. And however you spell it, it sounds like the bird and I don’t really think most boys are going to want be associated with a Wren.
For a girl I like it but only spelled Wren. I think it looks more complete. Everyone is going to associate with the bird anyway and spell it Wren.

I’m japanese american and depending on which context it could mean lotus flower or severe. I like it. I think it works as a gender fluid name really well.

Lawrence is really handsome! I think the nickname Law could be cute.
What about Caterina nn Rin? It means bunny in japanese. I like Ren but Rin feels a little more feminine. GL

I think it works - it’s cute but also handsome. As it’s a nickname, your child won’t have to use it outside the home if they don’t want to, so if you love it, use it

I agree with Renee and prefer Ben for a boy. Also no matter what nick name you want other people to use, they will maku up their own so best to choose a full name you like as nick names often happen naturally.

I think it works well and his handose for a boy, it would even make a nice full name, Lawrence Lake is just okay. It does make a cute nickname for a girl but honestly I would go with Seren Caterina or Serenity Caterina. Also, my daughter is named Gabriella, nickname Ella, and no one has ever tried to call her anything but Gabriella or Ella. People don’t always just call your kid whatever they want. They call the kid whatever you or the kid itself tells them to call it by.
