Sparrow vs. Alaska vs. Merritt vs. Adley vs. Hanneli

Hanneli is said like Hannah-Lee(we don’t like double first names so please don’t suggest we change it to Hannah-Lee). Trying to decide between these for our daughter’s first name. Middle name suggestions are welcome but 1 of these 5 must be her first name. Adley Sparrow was suggested on my other poll but we barely got any other feedback on that other poll. Adley is really cute! Merritt is cute too. Merritt Alaska or Adley Hanneli would be adorable.

I like Hanneli but pronounced Haw-neh-lee. Adley is also cute. I like Adley Sparrow.

I was actually going to say Hannah-Leigh :) But Hanneli looks like a Scandinavian name, Anneli, so I can see where it comes from. I love the sound of the name. I wouldn’t use Sparrow because I think it will sound tacky when she’s an adult, depending on her profession. It could make a cute nickname, though. The rest I like in this order: Alaska, Adley, Merritt.

I like Adley and Alaska. I also like Hanneli, even though it does look a little made up, that might not bother you though.

We like the ideas of Merritt Alaska and Alaska Merritt. Alaska Sparrow is a bit too descriptive for us. We also like Delilah, Maeve, Juniper, Leandra, Mira, Cleo, Addison, Jovi, Luna, and Olive as middle names. We aren’t concerned about Hanneli looking made up because we know that it is actually a real Nordic name and a Finnish pet form of Hanna. It is pretty much only used in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark though but it is still even super rare in those places. Thanks for the feedback! ~Nona
