Personally, I would avoid two names with the same "d" ending but that’s just my preference.

However, Edmund and Leopold aren’t as bad as some (eg. Edmund and Desmond, Edmund and Raymond). They have a different number of syllables so they don’t sound too matchy.

They sound great together. Yes, the two names both end in "d", but the ending sound is different.
