Emery actually started out as a surname which then turned into a boy name and is now unisex. (http://www.behindthename.com/name/emery)
Just because you know someone with that name doesn’t mean it’s only assigned to that gender. I know a little girl named Evan but that doesn’t make Evan a girl name. Brecken is most certainly a masculine name. Please do your research before trying to make a point.

Hi - original poster here. We really like the idea of Sophie Erin. With the negative comments about Caitlin and Emery, it has soured us a bit on those names. We are feeling pretty positive about Sophie Erin. Thank you.
