names to vs. honor Jason

My friend Jason died Saturday in his sleep. And my wife and I were thinking about naming our child after him, in some form. Need help with boys and girls names. Either coming from the meaning of the name Jason, or another form of Jason other than the obvious Jayson. - AJ

One way I’ve see it spelled that I like is Jayceon. It’s pronounced the same as Jason just has a unique spelling to it.

Jace for boy; Jaycee for girl. Or Mason, Cason for a boy (just changes 1st letter)

You could do Jace. It sounds a lot like Jason and it would honor him! Jace Hunter wouyld be cute. WDYT? And I’m sorry about your friend!

I think Jace for a boy and Jacey or Jaycee for a girl.

In the past few days I have had 2 very good friends to past, one in iraq and one in his sleep. And my wife and I are coming up with a name to honor them both.

You could use Jason as the middle name (spelled however you’d like: Jazin, Jacen, Jaycin, Jasen etc.) And then use your other friends name as the first name and call them by their initials, if it’d work. (T.J. R.J. A.J. etc) Or if it would work where Jason could be the first name, and you could call your baby J.R. or J.T.

It would be ZJ If we used my other friends first name. or JZ if we used other friends name as middle name.

If it’s a girl you can name her Sonja. Which is an annogram for Jason

Sonja is cute. What are your friends’ middle names? You might be able to make some cute combos with those. Good luck and I’m sorry for your losses.

And if it’s a boy you can name him Jonas.

Also, Asa (has the same meaning as Jason), Jathan (a variant of Jason), and Kayson (another variant of Jason).
