I don’t think the name is very popular right now and I don’t know anyone name Kelsey...I’m personnaly not a fan...

I too don’t think it’s too popular. I don’t know any myself. According to SSA, these are the U.S. rankings for Kelsey as a girl’s name the past few years:

I think Kelsey is nice Kaylee seems to be the one that’s super popular at least in my area.

Thanks everyone. It sounds like it is actually more popular than I thought. There are 2 Sophia’s in my son’s class and we want to avoid choosing a name that is too popular like that. I actually thought Kelsey was less popular but since many of you know one or more "Kelseys" we may have to think about that. Appreciate all of your input.

I named my daughter Kelsey and so far I haven’t seen any others in her pre-school or Elementary school. I love the name (obviously.) I think it was popular in the 90s but I think it’s a classic beautiful name.
