Nora Evelyn vs. Nora Simone vs. Nora Aveline

We're going with Nora! Thanks for all of your help. Now to finalize her middle name. This is our rainbow baby after losing her older sister, Hazel Elizabeth, at 33 weeks gestation last year. Evelyn means "wished for child", Simone means "He has heard", and Aveline is the French word for Hazel. We're also considering reusing Elizabeth as it's my middle name, as well. Thoughts? Thanks so much!

Have you ever considered Arabella/Arabelle? It means either "beautiful altar" or "answered prayer".

I like Nora Simone. According to Behind The Name, Evelyn is actually derived from the name Aveline. And my French/English dictionary says Aveline is the word for hazelnut.

I adore all three. Meaningful names are always gorgeous. My vote went to Nora Simone because I love the name Simone and it flows wonderfully, but my second favorite is Nora Aveline. I'm so sorry for your loss! My mom lost two of her pregnancies (both girls) in the second trimester, and I was old enough to remember one, and it was very hard on all of us. Congrats on your rainbow baby!

Nora Aveline, as I think the younger Aveline will balance matronly Nora better than the others.
