Tye ??? vs. Ty- (full name?) ???

I love the name Tye or Ty for our little girl due soon. Do I give her a longer substantial name that Ty can be a nickname for? Or just name her Ty/Tye and give her a really long princess-y middle name? Would love any suggestions of middle names and longer first names too!

Overall I think of Ty as a boy name and I definitely don't think it would work as a full name for a girl

I can only think of Tyler or Tyra. I think Ty could work on a girl

I would try Tyra as her nickname cane be Ty. While it is more masculine, Tyler is in the top 1000 for girls now too, so that is another option.

I prefer it as a nickname, especially for a girl. Ty/Tye by itself sounds like a boy's name. Suggestions...

I went to school with a girl named Tyanne (rhymes with Diane). I know someone whose parents named him just Ty, not a longer name. But since Ty is more often a male name, I'd probably give her a longer first name, even if it's just on paper.

I am wondering why you are asking strangers what to name your precious baby? Tye or Ty is a wonderful name for a girl or boy. Go with your heart. You will find a middle name. Good luck!
