Eden Carys (Care-is) vs. Eden Carys (Cu-riss)

We just named our daughter Eden Carys. This decision came after months of posting names on this site. Most people have liked the name, but we are getting mixed pronunciations of the middle name. We know Cu-Riss is the proper pronunciation, but prefer Care-is. Which do you all prefer with Eden? Thank you.

Is Cu-riss the proper pronunciation? I've literally never heard it pronounced that way. I have heard Cahr-iss, however (pronouncing the first syllable like car.)

I did a poll on Carys and we pronounce it care-is and starred WWlll over whether it was pronounced care-is or cuh-riss. We ended up going with another name but I find care-iss the prettiest pronunciation.

Cuh-riss is not the proper Welsh pronunciation it's care-iss. If you google the Welsh pronunciation it says care-iss not cuh-riss.

It's the middle name, so it probably won't give her a whole bunch of trouble when she's older. I personally prefer care-iss as well... I think it's just one of those names that can go either way, like Kirsten (ker-sten or keer-sten?) Just pronounce it the way you love it!

I love the name Carys and it is on our list. we pronounce it Care-iss.

I've only ever heard it pronounced Care-iss (I've also only every come upon it on this cite and in a book, and Carys was the best character)
