The nickname is o.k. i think Vangie is the better and more complete spelling.

I love Evangeline, it is one of our top names, but the nicknames are completely not okay. I think there are many nicknames that can come from Evangeline, like as said above Evie (which is beautiful), Angie, Lena, etc.

Thanks. I will go with the Vangie spelling.. This is for a character in a book, and frankly, the more unpleasant you all find the name, the more it fits the character.
