Need vs. Help vs. Please

I am naming my daughter (due in 2 weeks) Alexis (still don’t have a middle name). I love the name, but I have two problems that I need opinions on. My parents have a dog named Lexi and my sister-in-law’s name is Allison and she goes by Alli. Is it still ok? Could her nick name be Ace? Or Isy? Please help me with a middle name too. I don’t like boy names or super popular middle names. Thank you Halle

I’m not sure what to say about the nn issue. You can certainly use a nickname that is not directly from her fn, but Lexi & Alli are so common for Alexis I’m sure someone will want to call her that at some point.

Alex could be a NN...i think its cute for a girl. Or Lex. Although Alexis is short enough and easy to say that you may not even need a NN. Maybe have her MN start with a J and her NN could be AJ?
