What is your FAVORITE vs. spelling of the name vs. Elena/Elaina???

We are considering the name Elena/Elaina for our daughter; I really love the sound of the name, but I can’t say that I’m in love with any of the spellings. We would like for her nickname to be Ellie, so we need it to be spelled with an "E." What is your favorite spelling of this name?? Any creative spelling that don’t look weird or made up???

This is my first daughters name. It’s spelled with an "A". Alaina Mackenzie.

My favorite is Elena. It looks more elegant to me (but I’m a little biased because I named my daughter Helena).

I think Elena looks more exotic, and Elaina looks more traditional/English. But I like both!

My name is Alaina :) I like it a lot... it’s very it’s very unusual and I have never met someone with my name. Elena looks nice too.. but I like Alaina better... lol i guess i’m bias.
