I think that it's alright as a nickname for Francesca. I dislike it as a full name though.

I personally would consider Frankie to be more of a nickname than a full name. Would you consider giving her a more formal first name and using Frankie as a nickname? This may give her more options as she grows, and may not necessarily wish to use Frankie in a professional context. Maybe something like Frances, Francine, or Francesca?

I would have said yes Francesca nn Frankie. No to just Frankie. I don't think it ages well for a girl.

I do like short names! I don't like Francine, Francesca and Francis! Thank-you for all of your comments! Francine and Francesca are to long! I don't really like Francis! But if there are shorter pretty girls names that are usually the nickname for Frankie then I will probably go with that! Thank-you anyway for your nice comments!

I've met two young girls named Frankie, one in high school right now and she goes by FJ and the other an elementary schooler - I'm pretty sure its her full name and not a nn.

That being said, if you like it I think you should use it!

I don't care for it on a girl. If I heard of siblings named Willa, Eddie and Frankie, I would assume Eddie and Frankie were both boys and Willa was the only girl.

If you plan on using Frances nn Frankie, please spell it Frances NOT Francis. Francis is a boys' name and Frances is a girls'

Frankie won't age well. Fran is the best alternative to an official first name.

If you like the name Frankie, I think you should use it then. Some middle names are:

Frankie Joy
Frankie Winter
Frankie Eve
Frankie Charity
Frankie December
Frankie Snow
Frankie Noelle
Frankie Virginia
Frankie Heaven
Frankie Nevaeh

(And yes, I know these are different middle names than most people would go with, but I like them together. Good luck!)
