Amelia vs. Emelia

Hi. We like the name Amelia but have had trouble deciding on a nickname. We prefer the nickname "Emmy" over "Ami" but prefer the traditional spelling of Amelia. Thoughts?

I would use the spelling Emilia to get the nickname Emmy. Also, Amelia has heaps more nickname options than Ami. For example you could use Millie, Mia, Mila, Mimi or Lia.

Thanks. Part of the problem is my name is Mia so we don't want a nickname too close to my name.

Ok so apparently Emilia is spelled "Emilia"? Good to know. Hahahah.

In response to previous questions my name is Mia so I don't want to nickname my daughter my name or a super similar name. And Emily is used in our extended family.
