I dont think that it is a bad name...in fact i quite like it. I just wouldnt tell people that it ws in honor of Heath. I dont really think that that would be an association that i would be proud to have attached to me. He was just a mediocre actor.

Heath atleast is a name, though not a great one. A ledger is something you write in to keep track of bills

Why would you want to name your child after someone who died of a drug overdose???

I think Heath would be good. Ledger is not a first name. You could use either as a middle name though.
And I think it’s a great tribute to a man who was far more than a "mediocre actor" (Brokeback Mountain?? The Dark Knight?? Far from mediocre to say the LEAST) and whose drug overdose, while tragic and much-publicized, was not intentional. But they have a point, I still wouldn’t advertise that that’s where the name came from, just tell people if they ask.

I don’t like Heath or Ledger, or the fact that he died the way he did. It’d be different if he died of an accident. It’s not good to name your child after someone who would do that to himself and the people who loved him. If you must honor him, name him after one of his characters.
