Names to go vs. with Renesmee

Hi there, my husband and I are having a daughter due in February and we need name ideas. We absolutely fell in love with the middle name Renesmee after we read Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer, so that is staying no matter what. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Are you absolutely positive you want to name your daughter after a fictional character with what seems like a bit of a ridiculous name? She’s probably going to get made fun of. How is she going to pronounce her own name? Well, if you insist on naming her that, you may want to go with a shorter middle name to compliment the longer first name.

Not a huge fan of the name (or the series). I think Renee or even Esme(e) would be great middle names. Everyone associates the name with Twilight. Their are far better books someone could name their child after (as in characters).

I like the idea of using names from literature. However I’m not sure it is the best idea to use Renesmee for your daughter, mainly because it ¡s very difficult to spell and pronounce. Both Renee and Esme are great names on their own, would you considered naming her Renee Esme or Esme Renee? or just using one of them with a different mn?

I thought she wanted it as the middle name?

By the way, how do you pronounce it? Is it Renee-esme?

I just finished reading Breaking Dawn today and I loved it. Renesmee is cute as a middle name.

I really like Evelyn Renesmee. Then we could call her Evie.
