Noah & Whynn vs. Noah & Whynne

We’re having twin girls in February, and we’ve decided to name them Noah and Whynn, but we can’t decide if we should put an ’E’ on the end of Whynn. Also, we need middle names for them. We want them to be very girly since their first names obviously aren’t. I know there are going to be people on here who don’t think Noah and Whynn should be used for girls, but my husband and I really love these names for twins, so please, try and refrain from criticizing our choices. I’ll post our only ideas for middle names in a comment. We have one other daughter, Grace Emily. Thanks! Melanie, Eric, Grace, Noah and Whynn

How do you pronounce it? Because with Whynne it looks like Whine. With Whynn, it looks Win. So, which ever pronounciation is right, go with that spelling! GL!

I also thought of "whine"...what about Wynn without the H? That is how I’ve seen the surname. And have you considered doing Noa without the H? GL!!

I like Caroline and Alexandra as the mns

Your other daughter has such a feminine name, which will make these seem more like boy names. I like Whynn better that Whynne. I also like the name Wren. It is similar but more feminine. I know you like Whynn, just offering another suggestion that maybe you hadn’t thought of.

Noa & Wynne cute:) People are going to think Noah is a boy, Whynne is Whine hope she’s not a whiner that would be a bad coincidence.

Except we’re not having twin boys. And it’s pronounced Win. And please, is it really too much to ask that you DON’T tell us what to do, first poster?

I don’t think your name choices are bad at all! Have you considered spelling Whynn as Win? It makes it a little more feminine, and you won’t get all of those negative comments. I think Noah and Win is adorable, but if you are stuck on those spellings, Noah and Whyn is pretty! GL!

We really like the H on the end of Noah, and are leaning toward no E on Whynn.

wynne like whinnie the pooh? not good. why name a baby girl noah? she is gonna get teased!

Please consider Wynne instead of Whynn? I think Wynne is so much prettier and much easier to figure out the pronunciation. I have to agree with a PP< Whynne looks like Whine.

I do think that Noah will constantly be mistaken for a boy, so I would definitely have a VERY feminine middle name. But I do think that using Noah, which is so strongly associated with the bibilical male is a mistake.

Of your choices, I like Noah Caroline and Wynne Elise

I chose Whynn, because the E seems really unnecessary. I agree that it looks like "whine" though, with the H. Wynn would probably be the best choice. It reminds me of Winn Dixie though....and of Winnie the Pooh. She will be tortured. As will a girl named Noah. I know you said not to criticize the names, but obviously if you had to put out a request like that, you must be aware that these are poor choices. I don’t have any connection to these babies and I already feel bad for them. I would hope as their parents, you and your husband would reconsider putting them through this!

I think Wynn is the best spelling and I like that it’s 4 letters to match Noah.I personally wouldn’t use Noah on a girl but at least the 2 names go together a little better as Noah & Wynn.

God, you must really hate these babies calling a girl Noah, why not John or George or Isaac?
As for Whynn or Whine or Wine it’s really too pretentious.
Wait till you have a boy and you can call him Noah. Don’t the sins of the fathers torture the babies.
