Calix vs. ???

ok I work at a college in a job where i see lots of students names. The other day I saw the name Calix. I am four months pregnant and have been looking for names that I like. I was wondering what people thought of it and if they would use it for a boy or a girl (the student was a boy). I am just starting my serch and like more unusual names(I also like Tobin, Thacker, and Arika so far). Thank you! Larissa

Reminds me of hair that sticks up in the back of someones had. I did see a boy with this name once though. It’s not very cool. How about Felix?

calix nm callie for a girl, but i really don’t like it. I think the bad hair is cowlick, but i know what you mean.

I like Thackery better than Thacker, its kinda like Zachary.

Calix is one Ive never heard of but I dont think it is that bad, though it does bring to mind a cowlick. I could see it on both a boy or a girl. It reminds me of Alex which Ive always liked as a nn for a girl.

I like your other names Tobin and Arika. Good Luck.

Wilhelm is said like that, but you say it kind of fast so it sounds more like "Wil-hum"
