Phoebe Tannis vs. Charis Medea vs. Dorothy Evania
My husband and I are Greek and we are having our first little girl. It’s important to us to give our daughter a strong greek name and after much debate we have narrowed it down to these three names. What do you think? Thanks

Phoebe is adorable and will age well too. Dorothy just doesn’t sound right on a little girl and Charis sounds too trendy, even if it is from your heritage. Go with Phoebe, its perfect!

I think Evania is beautiful. Dorothy doesn’t strike me as greek like it does old fashioned. It’s kind of harsh. Phoebe’s just ok, but it’s kind of different. I’ve only met a few Phoebes but they were all weird. Charis is ok. But Evania is very classy and pretty.

I really, really dislike Phoebe. It just doesn’t sound feminine or attractive at all imo. I can’t imagine it on an older woman either. Anything but Phoebe. Both of your other names are nice(I love Dorothy). The suggestion of Evania is very pretty. Here are some other suggestions:
