Go with the "conventional" way, Jordan. This name is recognized as a unisex name that way, so it wont be an iisue. Also all yuor other kids names(which are great!) have the "normal" spellings as well.. =)

Jadyns name is not the "conventional" way.

other unisex names I like. I don’t like when parents use the same 1st letter for all their childrens names

My sons’ name is Ryan James

no, its ok. The usual way is Jaden. And thank you! I named her after my sister who passed away 1 month before she was born. So my daughter went from Chloe to Hayden (my sisters name)

Do you like Avery? Reagan? Sydney? Quinn?

I’d go with Jordan. Bailey, Avery, Grayson/Gracyn, Kassidy, Morgan, or Addison would also be cute!

Do you like Harper or Kennedy?

I have no idea. As you can see I kinda like girly mn’s, since I have unisex first names. So I am at a complete loss!

Harper and Parker rhyme, so I wouldn’t use Harper (although it’s really cute)! Too confusing!

wow, I really like Jordyn Alexis. My husband and I decided on the spelling Jordyn. But we both really like Jordyn Alexis. What do you all think?

What about Avery? You don’t have any ’A’ names. Or Addison?

I love all your girls names! I too am a fan of unisex names. I am actually curious about the name Parker. How has that worked? Does she like her name... What do other people think of it? It is my late grandmothers maiden name and I wanted to honor her by naming my daughter Parker as I hate both her first and middle names. I just dont hear it on a girl that often. If you wouldnt mind could you tell me a little about what using that name on a girl has been like?

Parker LOVES her name! She gets complements on her name all the time. People think it is different but in a good way. I would deffinitly encourage you to namer her Parker. It has worked amazingly well :)

Thanks! I have gone back and forth on it alot. I didnt get a very good response to using the name Parker for a girl on any of the polls that I did. I think that it is cute though so it is a strong contender. Oddly my other name is Reese! Like I said I love Love Love all your names. Good Luck with your little one!

I am on my third. I have a daughter named Kendall who is 3 and a son named Preston who just turned 1. I hope to have 5 or 6 so I have plenty of time to use names. I am due with a girl Feb 28th. We both love Parker but like I said have not had a lot of support for the name. Our others are London, Reese, and Emerson. We like them all but Parker has a family meaning. I find especially on this site that alot of people dont really like unisex names. Do you find that to be true?

I think Jordan(any spelling) is way too close to Jayden.how about Ashton?I really like that one for a unisex name.
posted by guest :: 15 years ago | report
hmm..I do find this somewhat true. But I believe if you like the name you should use it. You can’t live your life to please everyone else. Let me know how it goes, did you guys decide on a name already but are having second thoughts?

I dont think that Jordyn is to close to Jayden. At least not any closer than Hayden. lol.
