Skye for a boy? A friend of mine has a boy named Skye in his gr.12 class and I think it’s a great name for a boy, but there seem to be a lot of girls named Skye... What do you think?

Skylar nn Sky. The E on the end makes it feel more feminine.

Definitely not! I hate it on a girl and its even worse on a boy. It wont age well at all and its just a bad name!

Wow, poster three definitely has strong opinions on this name. It’s been around for a while now so there have to be some Skyes now approaching middle age. I always thought of it as a girl’s name, but these things swing in round-a-bouts. Think of Kelly, Shannon, Meredith - these all used to be traditional boy’s names. Personally I think it’s uni-sex and you could absolutely use it.
