Help! My husband and I are needing to decide a name - only 4 weeks until baby arrives! One of us likes Emily, the other Nicole. Can’t decide which sounds better. Thanks!!

I’d say neither because the "l" sound at the end of each name makes it too hard to pronouce the Lynn. But if you really want either I guess Emily Lynn

Nicole!! I love it and it’s refreshing to see it as a fn. Emily is ok, but it and Emma are so popular right now. Is Lynn a must? If not you could always use both names....Nicole Emily (very cute) or Emily Nicole. GL!

^^ yes, I agree. The fact that Nicole ends in an ’L’ sound while Emily ends in ’ee’ makes Emily a much better combo with Lynn.

I like Emily more. Why not Emily Nicole? Both first names are rather boring and over-used. Nicole SCREAMS 1980-1990’s, while there will probably be 4 or 5 Emily’s in her class. I say neither. What about Nicolette, or Emelyn?

You know everyone says that about Emily being sooo popular but I have known two Emilys my whole life and have been working in a school for 7 years and have yet to have an Emily. I do agree that Nicole runs into Lynn because of the l’s.
