Is it okay to use names even if people may assume you’re naming the baby after someone? For example, my dead-beat dad’s name was Joseph nn Joe, but I love Josie, Josephine, Joanne, Jordan and other names that start with "Jo". Can I still use one of these names without people assuming a family connection? That’s my first question. Another is that I have two friends, Christine and Christina. I want to honour both of them in my kids names. Christine’s mn is Faith (which I love and want to use). Could I use Christian/Chrisopher after Christina only as opposed for using Christopher/Christian to honor both of them?

I`m Taylor and my husband John and I are having twins, a boy and a girl. We already have one little one, Beck Johnathan, after his father. We want shorter, more underused names that flow well with our last name Keays (prn Keys). Thanks so much for the help! Taylor and John Keays

We need a middle name for our daughter, Gianna/Gia. We were thinking Louise but now we’re not so sure. We want it to sound good with both Gia and Gianna, as we’re not 100% on which will be on her birth certificate. We like old fashioned names that aren’t used very often. My father suggested Gia so, even though it’s not really our style, we like it and it has meaning to us. Thank you!
