There's been Chris Christophensen and Jon Jonathan. So I don't think it's that bad!!
Maybe Everly Lin?

That said, I wouldn't use it with that last name.
Not so much for the teasing potential (which could be an issue, but it might as well not be), but because it sounds bad in my opinion.
I mean, you could get away with the two names were a bit rhimey, but they have the exact same sound.
It sounds like I'm saying "Eva Lin Lin"
I hope it didn't sound offensive

Here what I have to say:
1) I don't the 2 n's. Evelyn looks much better imo.
2)Would you call her Evelynn or by a nickname like Evie or Evvie? Or Lynn? haha. Lynn Lin. Now that *is* bad. If you call her Evie/Evvie, I don't think its a big deal. But I must say, Evelynn Lin doesn't sounds the best---not to mention some minor teasing
3) My suggestion:
a. Use something like Eveline like Haddie suggested
b. Use a hyphenated last name---what ever your last name is-Lin. (eg. Smith-Lin) Evelynn Smith-Lin is much more bearable

Well, I don't mind the spelling Evelin /Evelyn/ Evelynn.
BUT, I do mind Eve, Eva, Everly and any other form of Evelyn.
It's like trading Juliet for Julie, Julia, Jules or anything like that. It's not the same for me. Evelyn IS Evelyn, and nothing can replace that name in my heart
AND, Lynn is also one of my all time favorites names YES, I'd call her Evie or Lynn as a nn. But I can't!
It's just such a heartbroken feeling. His surname is taking two of my favorite names: Evelynn and Sherry Lynn.

I was just looking at my name list, and I couldn't see myself calling my daughther Charlotte, or Hazel, o Journey. It didn't feel right. I feel as if Evelynn is a long lost friend I want to contact.
This is soooooooo annoying.

There are certainly those times when she will be referred to as her full name, but in everyday situations, she will be just Evelyn or Evie.
Evelyn is a gorgeous name.
Have you ever thought of using your last name instead of Yang's? I know a few people who have done that

You don't mess with a Chinese man's pride.
Kidding! Chill out But yeah, he'd probably kill me or something, so not an option.
I love Evelynn, but I hate Evelynn Lin. It's just wrong. VERY WRONG. I don't think the hypenated name would help anyway... Ei: Evelynn-Mae Lin would sound like Evelyn Maylin which is equally annoying
Evelynn has a very special meaning to me. I've loved Eva since I read Eva Luna from Isabel Allende (The book starts with the phrase: My name is Eva, which means life, and Luna, because my father was native from the tribe Luna), and Lynn is my sister-in-law's name. She played a very important role in my life thoughout my childhood and teeanger years. She's like my second mother. And I really, really love Lynn.
Sorry guys.. I'm helpless. I'm not into any variation... No Lynsay, or Linda, or anything similar. It's just Evelynn to me
Anyway... A co-worker of mine is having a baby girl this October! She asked me to help with the naming, so I suggested Evelyn (one N) and she loved it!
