Matilda Aisha Jones (10) is Logan's niece. While Logan may be cancer-free, childhood spleen cancer still runs in her family, and unfortunately, her sister's daughter wasn't so lucky. Matilda has been handling it like a champ, though, and thinks her bald head kinda looks cool. She especially enjoys wearing hats her Daddy's sister makes for her. Matilda loves dancing and watching NOLA football with her Daddy (Who Dat?!)

William Andrew Charles "Liam" Roush {11} is a friend of Matilda Jones. He calls her Mattie for short, as he gives nicknames to all those with whom he is close. Liam and Matilda met at the hospital while she was in for her chemo. Liam has a rare blood disease that has kept him in an out of the hospital since he was two years old. Luckily, he comes from a wealthy family and his hospital bills are no problem for them. However, Liam's parents work a lot and there are days where Liam is in the hospital and his parents do not come visit. He loves his parents, but wishes he had a more supportive family like Mattie has. Liam and Mattie's friendship blossomed out of bad-- their illnesses as well as loneliness and lack of a normal childhood--but nonetheless they have bonded. They love talking about football and causing "trouble" around their hospital floor.
